The romantic fantasy P.S. (2004) follows Louise Harrington (Laura Linney), a divorced dame wasting away her unfulfilled life by working as an admissions officer at Columbia University’s School of Fine Arts. Her life suddenly changes when she comes across F. Scott Feinstadt’s (Topher Grace) graduate school application. Shit gets weird when Feinstadt comes in for an interview with the thirty-something paper pusher, and Louise can’t help but notice the aspiring MFA student carries a striking resemblance to her high school sweetheart, an artist that died in a car crash nearly two decades ago. Of course, the interview quickly leads to a romantic hook up between the two. Is Louise humping Feinstadt because she is trying to get back her lost love? And is Feinstadt just going along with the romance to get a sure ticket into his coveted MFA program? To add some extra drama to the flick, Missy (Marcia Gay Harden), Louise’s best bud, puts the moves on her new love. Also, Louise’s ex-hubby Peter (Gabriel Byrne) enters the picture, along with her newly sober bro, Sammy (Paul Rudd). After sitting through all this drama, you’ll be rewarded with three scenes with Topher gracing us with his shirtless body. Makes one wonder what the title’s initials are trying to convey.
