Shaft in Africa (1973)

Shaft in Africa (1973) is the third installment in the blaxploitation trilogy starring Richard Roundtree as the eponymous character. While lounging around his New York City apartment, Shaft is drugged, kidnapped, threatened and lured to travel to Africa to help infiltrate and break up a human trafficking ring. Before he heads out, Shaft is put through a series of tests that’s meant to break the bad ass dude, and get him prepared for the rough climate of Africa. The tests also give us a look at Richard Roundtree rump as he tries to overcome a heat-induced challenge. Too bad we don’t get to see Shaft’s shaft.
