Star-Crossed (2014)

An crashed alien spacecraft kicks off a battle between Earth and the Atrians, the alien species aboard the downed craft, in the sci-fi romantic series Star-Crossed. While the battle rages on, Roman, a six-year-old Atrian boy finds shelter in the shed of Whitehill family. Six-year-old Emery Whitehill takes it upon herself to protect, feed and care for Roman, and the two quickly form a strong friendship. But the growing bond between the two kids gets broken when the authorities track down and capture the secluded alien. Emery goes through her life thinking her out-of-this-world friend was killed. Fast forward ten years later, and the Atrians have been acclimated to life on Earth, but they are kept in intern camps, away from the human population. Things go crazy when a small group of Atrian teens are allowed to enroll in a human high school as a sort of social science experiment. As luck would have it, Emery and Roman (Aimee Teegarden and Matt Lanter) cross paths in the hallway, quickly rekindling their childhood bond and developing a love. Everyone doesn’t accept the mixing of aliens and humans, and a large faction of angry and prejudice people do their best to keep the star-crossed lovers apart. Can love succeed in such a hostile environment? Tune in and find out.
