Stars And Bars (1988)

Great Nudity!

Review

The laugh-filled satire Stars and Bars (1988) co-stars Daniel-Day Lewis as Henderson Dores, a proper British chap that knows a thing or two about fine art. When the artsy snob is sent to Georgia to purchase a Renoir painting for a New York art-auction house, the kooky owner Loomis Gage (Harry Dean Stanton) makes the transaction very difficult, especially since he’s surrounded by an odd cast of weirdos like his marbled-mouth, Elvis-like, bully-of-a-son Freeborn (Maury Chaykin), who has already sold the coveted masterpiece to a rival art dealer. Throw in some hilariously annoying interference from Henderson’s fiancée Irene (Joan Cusack) and her teenage daughter Bryant (Martha Plimpton), and you’ll be laughing until it hurts. You’ll be rubbing until it hurts when you see Keith David sans shirt, and some butt and brief penis from Daniel-Day Lewis. Mr. Man sees more than stars!
