The sexyFrankie Avalonis the highlight of today's #TBT article since we are in the middle of summer and it makes us want to go to the beach. Frankie was the very symbol of retro beachiness with his countless beach movies and songs. Hewas an OG twink with his adorable hairless body that let him play a teenager for almost two decades.
He's best known for the bikini beach party movies he was in such as Beach Party (1963), Muscle Beach Party (1963) and Bikini Beach (1964). With a beach body like his, it's really no surprise he was such a teen idol!
He wowedus with his hunky shirtless strength inThe Million Eyes of Sumuru (1967). Later in life, Frankie continued recording hits and even was the famous Teen Angel in Beauty School Dropout from Grease.
Frankie continues to make cameos and performances in movies and live shows, but his later life is much quieter than his beach blanket bingo days. We're just happy we have his beachy movies to watch for days. #TBT to sixties Frankie!
