The Big Easy (1987)

Mafia tough guys are getting killed in New Orleans and it’s up to Detective Remy McSwain (Dennis Quaid) to figure out who is responsible in Big Easy, The (1986).  He also has to deal with lusty D.A. Ann Osborne (Ellen Barkin) and her police corruption task force. Ann enjoys their sexcapades, but not the evidence that she’s uncovering on McSwain and his kickbacks from the departments “Widows & Orphans Fund”. Will McSwain crack the case before Ann lowers the boom?

Things are always steamy in the Crescent City and while the humidity doesn’t rise to terminal levels, the temperature does climb to scintillating levels.  Quaid spends a lot of time making love gumbo with Barkin and we’re treated to some nice Creole butt shots including one that seems tossed into the mix just for fun as Quaid stands naked talking on the telephone.  There’s no full frontal crawfish, but if you stare long enough, you might catch a glimpse of Quaid’s pants po’boy as he lifts his leg to put on his undies during the phone scene.
