The bizarre, true tale of Saddam Hussein's home life gets a big-screen adaptation in The Devil’s Double (2011). When Latif Yahia (Dominic Cooper) is kidnapped by Uday Hussein (also played by Cooper) and asked to become his body double, it’s an offer he can’t refuse…mostly because if he doesn’t, Uday will have his family killed. Embedded in the Hussein household, Latif witnesses acts of both decadent depravity and unbelievable cruelty at the hands of the psychotic Uday. Latif attempts to escape, but you don’t reject a dictator’s son without some pretty extreme consequences. And some pretty extreme nudity, including the display of the despotic doppleganger’s dopplebuns, and a birthday party scene of many birthday suits. A campaign of schlong and awe, indeed!
