The Distance (2006)

The Distance (2006) is a thriller that follows Daniel (Miguel Ángel Silvestre), a young boxer serving time in prison for his involvements in a murder. Enter Guillermo (José Coronado), a bad cop with a devious mind, who visits Daniel to blackmail him to get him to kill a nightclub owner who’s also doing time. On top of everything else, the conniving law enforcer is gay and he’s got quite a crush on Daniel. To even have the slightest chance of experiencing freedom again, Daniel must go along with the murder. But when Daniel gets out of prison, he returns to the ring and tries to get his boxing career back on track. But his conscience of killing a man torments him to the point of locating the widow (Belén López) of the dude he killed, eventually complicating the situation by falling in love with her.
