The Man Who Would Be King (1975)

Adapted from the Rudyard Kipling novella of the same name, The Man Who Would Be King (1975) tells the story of Daniel “Danny” Dravot and Peachy Toliver Carnahan (Sean Connery and Michael Caine), two rogue ex-officers of the Indian Army who want to escape the claustrophobic confines of India and travel to Kafiristan to become kings. The duo’s royal dreams turn to nightmares when they encounter the natives of the distant land. Connery spices up the film with some skin. We don’t get to see his double o seven, but we do see an overhead shot of his sweet cheeks as a white robe is placed on him. It’s not much, but Connery’s hindness will have you bowing down.
