Set in Vienna in 1957, the erotic drama The Night Porter (1974) centers on Max (Dirk Bogarde), the titular character that is employed at a fancy hotel. It seems as though the hardworking porter is harboring a dark past. Fifteen years previous, Max made a living as a Nazi SS officer and his current job serves as a vehicle to hide from those that are hunting him for his war crimes. Along with a group of other scumbags, Max attempts to keep in hiding by wiping out witnesses to their crimes. But Max’s secret is threatened to be exposed when Lucia (Charlotte Rampling), a concentration camp survivor, comes strolling into the hotel. We soon learn that the Nazi and his victim had a sort of sadomasochistic relationship during her internment, and it’s only a matter of time before the two are indulging in their most painful and deprived desires. And thanks to the full frontal offerings from Nico Bignamini and some thong-wearing, butt-baring scenes from Amedeo Amodio, you’ll be indulging in your most sensual fantasies.
