Review

Adam Sandler fans were pleased as punch in 1998 when they got not one but two Sandler comedies – The Wedding Singer (1998) and The Waterboy (1998). The latter follows a sweet, stuttering, simpleton who just wants to keep people hydrated under the hot, hot, summer sun. The summer sun isn’t the only thing that’s hoy in this romp, you’ll also see the rump of Henry Winkler. Well… a body double’s rump at least, but it’s still nice if you like the idea of the Winkler’s cute and cunning Coach Klein dropping trou for your very delight. Coach Klein has a motto, “What momma don’t know, don’t hurt her.” He’s bringing, not pain, but pleasure when he shows off his tattooed tush. The point he’s proving, is that when he was a young man he disobeyed his mother and got a tattoo of Roy Orbison on his rear, and these Orbison buns didn't age at all. We’re guessing Winkler’s body double was a good ten to fifteen years younger, or more. The football based comedy also features Sandler regulars like Allen Covert, Peter Dante, and Clint Howard, and it also marks the first use of Rob Schneider’s catchphrase “You can do it!” You’ll be wanting to do it with Henry Winkler, wink, wink.
