Created by acclaimed filmmaker Barry Levinson and writer David Simon, who were previously responsible for NBC's Homicide: Life on the Street, the critically acclaimed HBO series The Wire (2002) ran for six seasons on the cable giant. The series focused on the illegal drug trade in Baltimore and told the story through the eyes of cops, including Dominic West and Lance Reddick, drug dealers like Michael K. Williams’ Omar, politicians and victims. The series also delved into larger social issues such as education, journalistic integrity, and political corruption. This is not your average cop drama - the characters are flawed, real people trying to survive in the lives they’ve built or had forced upon them.

There is some fine man meat sprinkled throughout the series, so viewers have to get wired in and get ready for the occasional treat. West isn’t shy about showing off some skin for the series. His hairy chest and perfect pecs make repeated appearances while Williams’ Omar is a gay, drug dealing killer who doesn’t fear the law or exposing his tight body.  He lets his meat fly on a few occasions, giving us reason to salute the bad guy before going at it with Ernest Waddell. Glynn Turner whips out his prosthetic in season four, Lance Reddick bares his perfect buns, Wood Harris shows off his fine physique while he gets stiches shirtless, and Aidan Gillen lets us look at his glutes while he bangs a woman on the counter. Pair that with a shirtless Pablo Schreiber, and you'll be stiffer than wire!
