Crimson Peak (2015)

Crimson Peak (2015), a visual masterpiece of Guillermo del Toro, is less a ghost story than you might think at first glance. Edith Cushing (played by Mia Wasikowska) is a young Mary Shelley of sorts, a writer with her own ambitions in a time when such things were not encouraged. She's content to be a strong, independent woman who don't need no man—until she meets Sir Thomas Sharp (the veritable sex god that is Tom Hiddleston). He's a fancy Englishman visiting America with his sinister sister Lucille (Jessica Chastain), looking for financial backing for an invention of his. He sets his sights on Edith as his next wife, but when Edith's unapproving father (Jim Beaver) is mysteriously murdered (guess how that happened?), she ships off to England with the two. Shit gets real once she's at the Sharp estate, known as "Crimson Peak" due to its being made up of red clay that seeps through the walls. From terrifying ghosts and blood-red floors to a murderous sister out to get Edith, it's not long before Edith realizes she's put herself in a terrible situation and might not be the first young woman to have done so. Is it all in our young writer's fantastical imagination or is Crimson Peak really as freaky as she believes? It's a pretty tragic story from front back, but Tom Hiddleston makes life infinitely brighter when he shows his backside while having sex with Edith! Now, before that action there's a lot of lusting and even some very period appropriate candlelit waltzing, but eventually we get to see the pair consummating the marriage with some intense mating. Tom shows us his butt when she pulls down his pants, before he starts kissing up her leg and all kinds of other things that make us melt! Who didn't appreciate the Crimson peek at that ass?
