Tye Sheridan’s mother owned a beauty salon, which explains why her boy is so beautiful. His father worked for UPS, which explains why his son has a great package! Although blessed with these assets, Tye had no acting experience when he was cast in the Terrence Malick epic The Tree of Life (2011) alongside Brad Pitt. Yet he soon gained critical praise for his performances in Mud (2012) with Matthew McConaughey and Joe (2013) opposite Nicolas Cage. In 2015, Sheridan appeared in three indie flicks (The Stanford Prison Experiment, Last Days in the Desert, Entertainment) that screened at the Sundance Film Festival. The latter features Michael Cera, John C. Reilly, and Tye’s bare chest! If that’s not entertaining enough, the hardworking hottie sizzled in the 2015 movies Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse and Dark Places alongside Nicholas Hoult. Tye played a one-eyed monster in X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), Deadpool 2 (2018), and X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019). Of course, we’re referring to Cyclops. What were you thinking? Shirtless turns in the thrillers Detour (2016) and Age Out (2019) followed. In between, Tye (and his bare buns) could be seen in the retro-set drama The Mountain (2018). After starring in Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi adventure movie Ready Player One (2018), Tye headlined Steven Soderbergh’s small screen series Wireless (2020). Most recently, the active actor was directed by George Clooney in the R-rated drama The Tender Bar (2021) co-starring Ben Affleck.
