Under the Silver Lake (2018)

After he crafted the extremely well received STD based horror flick It Follows (2014), David Robert Mitchell went from frightening to fantastical with his mystery flick Under the Silver Lake (2018). The film stars Andrew Garfield as Sam, a thirty-something loser obsessed with conspiracy theories and urban legends. But while he'll listen to any of them, the conspiracies he's most intrigued by are ones about secret messages and symbols being slipped into our movies and music. After falling for his hot neighbor Sarah (Riley Keough), he wakes up to find that she's completely disappeared and left behind nothing but some hobo code symbols for him to interpret. Trying to find what happened to Sarah sends Sam on a wild quest that has him finding hidden maps on cereal boxes and in magazines, band singers (Luke Baines) who admit many songs on their albums were given to them by higher ups who wouldn't let them change a word so they didn't ruin the subliminal messaging, and all sorts of other wild secrets he might have been better off not knowing. Eventually he'll track Sarah down but might not like what he finds. Fans have studied this one for secret symbols, going as far as studying the graffiti on the walls for hidden patterns and seeing if there's Morse Code in the booms of background fireworks. Mr. Man won't go that far, but there are a few scenes he's obsessively studied over and over. If you've always found the second big screen Spiderman to be your kind of sexy, you'll be happy to know Andrew Garfield lets us see what's under his clothes a few times. We see Andrew's ass when he is thrusting inside a woman in his room, doing her doggy style so they can both watch the news. Gotta stay informed while getting it in! We get to see it again when he goes skinnydipping, strips down in his room, and goes for a naked run in the woods. Thank goodness for that Garfield ass! Andy also gives us the gift of Luke Baines' bum when he picks him up off a toilet and throws him off of it. Baines lays butt naked on the ground, giving us a good look at his booty. With all that not so hidden ass, Under the Silver Lake will have you hand reaching under your waistband!
