Vive la bombe! (2007)

The 2006 French television mini-series Vive la bombe! addresses the issue of France’s policy makers sanctioning nuclear bomb tests in Northern Africa in the late 50s, early 60s. These tests occurred often back in the day, but what makes this story so unique is that those in charge didn’t give any proper precautions to the four soldiers—Philippe (Cyril Descours), Jojo (Damien Jouillerot), Javiez (Matthieu Boujenah), and Fred (Olivier Barthélémy)—stationed at the site, nor did the officials warn any of the natives. As one can imagine, the fallout from this deplorable behavior had dire, radioactive  consequences. Sad. The silver lining in the somber flick is that we get to see full nudity from the mislead soldiers as they are stripped, scrubbed, and decontaminated by some hazmat suit-wearing dudes. These guys are the bomb!
