Wetlands (2013)

Charlotte Roche’s feminist novel comes to life thanks to the German drama Wetlands (2013), not to be confused with the American crime flick Wetlands (2017) starring Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Also known as Feuchtgebiete, this foreign film follows Helen Memel (Carla Juri), an eighteen-year old skateboarder who is preoccupied with smells and the tastes of bodily fluids. As such, she jerks off with vegetables, and painfully neglects her hygiene. The latter is a way to rebel against her distant, cleanliness-obsessed mother (Meret Becker). When Helen isn’t struggling with her parents’ divorce, she’s spending her time experimenting around and breaking social taboos with her best friend Corinna (Marlen Kruse). But when Helen discovers she has an anal fissure, the dirty girl is forced to go to the hospital. There, she begins to change her life — especially since she falls for her male nurse Robin (Christoph Letkowski). The sexually-soaked story provides us with some amazing views of nudity. For example, Mr. Letkowski bares his bunnage while getting his butthole licked by Ms. Juri just 55 minutes into the movie. Not to be outdone, Kanell (Salam Tadese) gives us a look at his hard peen during a sexy shaving scene at the 25-minute mark. If that’s not erotic enough, fast-forward to the 01:23:41 spot. That’s when some bakers (Conny Dachs, Jérôme Schmoll, Michael Zühlke, and Mike Moses) reveal their erect rods while doing a circle jerk around a pizza. Looks like they’re adding their own special secret ingredient to the pie. So, do these guys deliver?
