When Saturday Comes (1996)

Jimmy Muir (Sean Bean) is an alcoholic brewery worker (who could guess that) in the city of Sheffield in When Saturday Comes (1986). His entire life has been dedicated to soccer, and he has the potential to do great things. Unfortunately, alcohol and an arrogant attitude prevent Bean from reaching his true dreams. When Bean gets spotted by a local team scout, he impressed the club and gets offered a trial at Sheffield United, a huge league team. However on the day of the trial Bean shows up hungover and fails to impress anyone. Bean realizes that he has a shot at his dreams, but he really needs to get his priorities straight. In a locker room scene we get a quick look at Sean’s beans, but he’s also surrounded by strapping young lads who are hiding nothing. We wish this Saturday would come more often!
