Siblings Gudrun (Glenda Jackson) and Ursula (Jennie Linden) are the titular characters in Ken Russell’s Women in Love (1969). Per D.H. Lawrence’s same-named novel, the drama is set in an English mining town during the 1920s. Although they’re working-class, the sisters get in with a rich and hip clique. Gerald Crich (Oliver Reed) has money and an obsession to possess artsy Gudrun. As such, the two can be seen in bed. Yet Gerald also has an affinity for his buddy Rupert Birkin (Alan Bates). In other words, the women are in love but the guys are in lust! Bates and Reed pushed the envelope for the film’s groundbreaking naked wrestling scene. Warmed by a roaring fire, the toned and tanned hotties are completely nude as they flaunt some flaccid full frontal. Their mandanglers flop and butts heave until all collapse in a mixture of exhaustion and satisfaction. Despite having open notions about relationships, Rupert fights his flirtation for Gerald and ends his affair with his paramour Hermione Roddice (Eleanor Bron) in favor of marrying Ursula. In fact, Alan bares his hairy chest and beautiful bum while getting it on with his lady love outdoors. And when the nude dude runs around in the woods, you’ll be packing wood! If that’s not arousing enough, another scene shows Ollie skinny-dipping. Nice breaststroke! The movie also includes Michael Gough, Vladek Sheybal, and the fab flesh on Christopher Gable. As a drowned man, the latter actor’s muscular bod washes up in the buff. What a stiffy!
