You read that headline correctly: one of the Instagays from the hit gay comedy The Other Two is all set to star in a brand new TV show brought to us by the app Grindr. Yes, Grindr. Every word of that sentence feels like I pulled it out of a hat, but I didn't. That's not how I write (which might be shocking news to some of my dear readers). This is breaking news, honey! Let's talk about Instagay Jimmy Fowlie and his new show.
Fowlie was one of the Instagays on the show that winds up also being a house flipper after he settles down and marries another influencer type of guy. It's a very funny episode where Fowlie and his honey bunny appear to be super codependent and also doing everything for content creation purposes. He and his hubby spend a lot of time shirtless and hugging each other in absolute saccharine ways. He goes from posing to his underwear to trying to be the gay Property Brothers.
You might also recognize Fowlie as an influencer on the show Search Party, too. This guy is getting typecast! It's probably because he looks so much like the kinds of guys that we lust over on Instagram.
Well, now he is breaking out of that typecast mold. He was cast as the lead in the new show Bridesman about a gay man who wants to put a stop to his best friend's wedding. Hey, doesn't that sound like My Best Friend's Wedding? Yeah, it's kind of like that except that he is not in love with his friend. He just doesn't think that she is marrying the right guy (a guy that he also thinks is super hot). The show is going to have a ton of hilarity if the trailer is any indication.
There will be six episodes that are set to be released on Grindr on April 1 - no, this isn't an April Fool's Joke! How dare you accuse Grindr of that! After all they've done for you! After its Grindr debut, it will show up on Youtube on April 4. Either way, you need to watch what Fowlie is up to.
