The best B-movie sci-fi and horror flicks were made in the 1970s. As we've mentioned before, social commentary and cheap budgets collided in some uniquely bizarre B-movies. Many of those movies gave us at least one nude scene and today's movie is no exception. So let's delve into 1977's film Prey and its long nude scene from Barry Stokes. This British indie sci-fi from director Norman J. Warren stars Barry Stokes as an alien who also has a taste for meat...human meat. The alien shape-shifter lands on Earth and becomes friends with a kindly lesbian couple before revealing that his mission on Earth is to see if humans would be tasty enough to eat on his home planet.
The movie also does an interesting job of depicting the differences in sexuality. It's the 70s in the UK and this alien is befriending a female couple with some strange dynamics between them. One half of the couple is very possessive and suspicious of men in general, so her suspicion of him starts naturally before she realizes that he might not be a man at all (but she still doesn't trust him!). She thinks he may have escaped the mental institution, but the truth is obviously way worse. The other woman had a boyfriend named Simon who mysteriously disappeared. After a lot of suspicion and in-fighting, she thinks that her new girlfriend may have murdered her ex-boyfriend. So that's an entire subplot in the movie while the alien man is salivating over all the human meat that surrounds him. On that note, the women are also vegetarians! Irony!
Honestly, the messages in this movie are pretty weird as it attempts to investigate betrayal, gender, and sex in a rather clunky way with its lesbian and bisexual characters who aren't entirely vilified (although the "possessive" lesbian definitely is under a modern lens). Also is this a case for vegetarianism? Maybe??? Either way this was the 1970s so even the suggestions of this female couple and their feelings of jealousy are kind of brave. Not only that, but Barry Stokes' cock will have you stroking yours. Oh, did you forget that he shows his cock in this movie? He does in the only sex scene that the film offers.
The movie ends with our alien hottie asking waiting for his ride home. When he sees two young ladies walking around near him, he calls the mother ship and says that they should send more aliens to Earth for feeding. Dun dun DUN! That is how it ends. How scary, right? There was going to be a sequel called Human Prey, but it was never actually made.
