For today's Foreign Film Friday we are looking at the German film with Eastern European influence as we examine bullying and identity in the 2020 film Exile. Exile is an official submission for Best Foreign Film at the Academy Awards and for good reason. It's a really good drama with some really good nude scenes. That sounds good enough for us!
The film Exile follows a man originally from Kosovo who works in German where he gets constant insults and faces xenophobia. This movie is an intense look at prejudice from the casual to the extreme as we watch this man struggle with his sanity as he endures constant torments that make him question who he really is.
Stephen Kakavoulis is the Greek god who plays our leading man.
