Today's film for Foreign Film Friday is a very unique one. We are going to talk about the slow-burning horror film The Feast that comes to us from the kingdom of Wales. Have you ever heard Welsh before? Well, you don't need to understand a lick of it in order to appreciate the naked man in this movie...and want to lick him, too.

Yes, they speak English in Wales, but they also do their darndest to preserve their native language. If I can nerd out for a moment, all of the countries in the UK area have their own languages and are trying different things to preserve them (did you know Irish and Scottish Gaelic are actually different?!), so their governments give grants to projects in these languages. Thus this film is entirely in Welsh which is very cool.

As the Welsh say: gadewch i ni ei wylio! Yes, I had to run that through Google translate.

The Feast feels a bit like Parasite meets The Witch, but make it Welsh. A quiet young woman is hired to work for a wealthy family as they host a dinner party. Class tensions rise, but some of the guests also take note of how weird this girl is. And then it does appear that she has some ties to folk magic. Danger, drama, and horror ensue! But I know what you are thinking: who cares about that biotch! Let's see the dudity!

Sion Alun Davies stars and in one scene the leading lady spies on him as he takes a bath outdoors. He stends up with his back to the camera - and to her - as he shaves his balls. If you watch the scene above you can see a little bit more than you can in the still image. By a little bit more, I mean you can watch his balls jiggle.
