Jon Hamm, the one and only, is in the latest Top Gun film, Top Gun: Maverick, where he played Adm. Beau "Cyclone" Simpson. He has fans swooning about him all over again. How is this man still so foxy? He makes being handsome look effortless. So he has everyone wondering: has Jon Hamm ever gone nude? Well, let's take a look.
Jon Hamm became famous for playing the super sexy Don Draper in Mad Men. Don Draper was troubled, sex-obsessed, and good at advertising. We fell for everything that Jon Hamm was selling. He was SO naturally masculine and sexy, despite the fact that his character was not the best guy. It was easy to see why women let him get away with so much - he was just so dreamy in his suit and tie. He was just as dreamy when he wore nothing but his undies on the show. Hubba Hubba, you hot 1960s man!
After Mad Men, Jon flexed his comedy muscles by starring as a crazed cult leader in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Mayor Webb in Bless the Harts, and Gabriel in Good Omens. He has the Daniel Radcliffe effect (who coincidentally also stars in Good Omens). What I mean by that is that he became very famous and rich for playing an iconic character and he took that money and clout to do projects that he personally finds fun and funny, regardless of what anyone else thought. That is certainly a fun way to go about your career and he can do whatever he wants at this point.
He is funny. He is hot. What can't Jon Hamm do? Well, maybe go nude :/
I hear you screaming: But has Jon Hamm ever gone nude?! Folks, I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but he has not. I know, I know. It is wild to think that Don Draper never actually went nude considering all of the sex that his character had in Mad Men. It's downright offensive that he didn't show his derriere in that show (but no one really did, actually - Mad Men didn't have that much nudity for either gender!). He stuck to show off his fuzzy chest hair in a variety of shirtless scens. He went shirtless a lot on the show, but that was the extent of it.
While he has yet to go nude Jon does have a lot of exciting projects coming up which are giving me some hope. Some movie titles to watch out for include the satire Corner Office which is set to show at the Tribeca Film Festival this month. He will also star in Confess, Fletch as the leading man and in Off Season. I hope that Jon eventually decides that nudity is always in season and that he gives it a chance. Come on, Jon, we want to see some ham.
