Hey, would you like to see a Canadian TV show that prominently features a gay relationship and then shows the two super sexy leading men get frisky with each other? Oh, you would?!?! Well, fancy that, friend, because I have just the show for you. I recently discovered the 2020 show I Am Syd Stone which is now streaming on the service dekkoo which is filled with exclusively gay content. Let's take a look at this little maple-covered drama. That's not maple syrup in your pants!
The series I Am Syd Stone is loosely based on an indie short film made in 2014 about the same thing: Syd Stone played by Travis Nelson is a famous actor in Canada. People love him as a leading man, action hero, heartthrob. You know the type! So naturally, he wants to keep his sexuality under wraps because he is afraid that his love of hot men will make him less desirable by Hollywood and to his adoring female fans.
He falls for Benjamin Charles Watson who is HOT. These two have a couple of flirty scenes together including when they go for a night swim and then make out together by the pool, but they get interrupted by fans who want Syd's autograph.
It does suck to see a storyline where a gay guy feels like he has to hide his sexuality. The good thing about this show is that he does give us several intimate scenes with his lover boy and Travis also shows his ass in another scene. I'll forgive his closeted antics because Syd Stone gives everyone a bone.
My favorite scene might actually be when Travis masturbates in the shower. We do not get to see much unfortunately, but his arm motion and his moans say everything that I need:
