A brand new romantic comedy is on the market and it is worth our time because it's not a "traditional" romantic comedy. By that I mean, it's not a hetero one. It's a gay one! Finally! More gay romantic comedies have been coming out in the last few years and I am thrilled about each and every one of them. 2018's Benjamin is no exception!
This new feature from director Simon Amstell is a U.K. movie which is why it took a second to get over to me across the pond. I'm grateful it did! This love story is about an aspiring filmmaker who tries to get a handle on starting his career and starting a potential relationship for a guy he just met. Can he juggle a blossoming career and a blossoming romance? That's a veritable bouquet!
Colin Morgan plays Benjamin who gets to draw Jack Rowan when Jack strips nude for him. He is very excited about his model - so much so that the pair run off to hook up in the bedroom. Drawing can wait! Horniness is now!
