This Tokyo treat, Issey Takahashi, has been on the screen in one way, shape, or form since the mid 90's, which is impressive as he was born in 1980! He started as an actor when he was just a kid, getting credits on some popular series like Super Sentai Zyuranger, which was basically the pre-cursor to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers we all knew and loved from the 90s. He was also a wildly successful voice actor as early as 1995 when he provided the voice to the lead role of "Seiji Amasawa" in the Studio Ghibli classic Whisper of the Heart. After that star making turn, Issey was able to drop into some other wildly popular projects in Japan such as All About Lily Chou-Chou (2001), Drug (2001), and Love Cottage (2003). After all those roles, he was cast as one of the masked bad guys in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 (2003, 2004), where he was one of the "Crazy 88's", the hottie goon squad wearing matching outfits that were commanded by Lucy Liu. He might not have been all that recognizable as he was sporting a mask in the blood bath scene, but it's definitely a big resume booster to work with Tarantino at some point in your life! Since then, Issey has established an impressive career on both big and small screens alike all over Japan, becoming one of the most recognizable faces in Tokyo. He comes our way with a couple of more tame sex scenes as the lead in the 2020 romantic dramedy Romance Doll, where he plays a sculptor who is tasked with designing a sex doll from a real girl, who he falls in love with. Hopefully Issey becomes a bit more famous in the states because we would love to see this juicy Japanese gent on our side of the ocean anytime!
