We've known for quite a bit that Luke Cage would get his own Marvel series on Netflix, butthe trailerhas finally dropped - and hot damn,Mike Colter!(Insert heart eyes emoji here).
I was a massive fan of the Jessica Jones series, so you better bet I've got September 30 (the release date) marked on my calendar. Here's what I can tell you so far: There are origin story flashbacks, but the plot itself takes place after the JJ series, meaning (spoiler alert) Luke's first wife has already died. Cottonmouth and Misty Knight are in the series, as well as Pops. And hopefully a sex scene as great as this:
Fans of the original comic series know how Luke's love life will play out moving forward, but I won't spoil it for anyone else. All I can say is this: Luke Cage is a badass, and I will probably need a fan to cool down with while watching the show.
