We are saddened and distressed by the death of the one and only David Bowiea man, musician, and muse who truly was (and is) something of the stars. In the wake of so much mourning, though, we have one positive thing to say: The man slayed death unlike anyone this world has ever known.

Not only did he release the portent that is his Lazarus music video, owning his own life and death, but he also did so immediately after the release of a critically acclaimed album at the age of 69a juvenile joke that is only appropriate for the fearless, unique, and uncensored musician who's defined multiple generations.
An acclaimed actor, singer, songwriter, musician, an artist, there are few mediums the man hasn't revolutionized.
More than anything, though, David Bowie was a man who was unapologetically himselfand he proved what greatness can happenwhen we choose to do the same.
RIP, David Bowie. How lucky we are for the 69 years you gave us all to experience you.
