D.H. Lawrence's Lady Chatterley's Lover is a classic novel known for being raunchy, graphic, and unapologetically sexual. Alas, the movie adaption will not quite follow the same thread—and Richard Madden likes it that way.
He's taken on the role of Oliver Mellors, the famous gamekeeper from the novel, for which we're thankful, but he claims he would have turned it down if it had been as raunchy as the original.
In fact, there's no nudity in the entire movie. Not one blissful shot of R. Mad's beautiful derriere.
It's a sentiment he's shared about many a script, claiming that most request he take off his shirt within the first few minutes. According to Rich himself, he just wants to tell a love story.
Which we get, you know, but he did that blessed us with both romance and rump in Game of Thrones.
