The Last Voyage of the Demeter, a horror film about a Russian schooner sailing from Carpathia to England in 1897 that turns out to be transporting the vampire Dracula amongst its cargo, opens this weekend.
Based on a chapter from Bram Stoker’s classic novel, the film features 6'7" Spanish star Javier Botet taking on the role of the famous bloodsucker. The long, lanky actor is slowly becoming a horror icon in Hollywood, playing the titular monsters in the films Mama and Slender Man, as well as terrifying entities in The Revenant, The Conjuring 2, and both chapters of the new It.
Well, Mr. Man has great news for those who don’t mind their skin on the spooky side - you can also see Javier out of costume in the 2017 UK thriller Two Pigeons! At the start of the film, Javier emerges from a bedroom in a pair of briefs and heads to the bathroom for some personal hygiene.
