The 2018 Guatemalan film Jose just came onto my personal radar and now I want it to keep coming. Oh, is that too far? You won't think it is after you check out the sexy gay romance in this movie directed by Li Cheng. This is a coming-of-age and coming-of-gay movie that gives us the story of Jose, a nineteen-year-old who is just learning about himself. In the process, we learn about him, too.
Jose is played by Enrique Salanic and in the movie, he is a quiet young man who lives with his mother. He turns to selling his body for sex in order to make some extra cash for him and his mom. While he does this, he meets Luis and his life totally changes. Our life would change, too, if we met Manolo Herrera, the hot actor who plays Luis.
Luis and Jose get close...very close. This completely changes Jose's ideas about love and sex and he realizes that he can accept real love and pursue a relationship...if that relationship is filled with passionate sex.
