Margrete Queen of the North (2021)

There is an incredible chunk of history that comes from our friends in Scandinavia about one of the most capable and powerful monarchs, sometimes referred to as "The Lady King", but we better know her as Margrete: Queen of the North (2021).  In 1402, Margrete ruled the kingdoms of Sweden, Denmark, and Norway under the banner then known as The Kalmar Union, which banded together all of the Scandinavian nations into one of the most powerful regions of the world for over a century.  Under Margrete's rule, the union saw unparalleled prosperity, strength, it was one of the true world powers of the time and was considered her life's work along with her adopted son, Erik.  Then the rumor came that her real son, that she thought had died 15 years prior, has returned and is the rightful heir to the thrown instead of her!  Now the Queen of the North finds herself in a sticky situation where the man she doesn't even recognize in front of her, claiming to be her long dead son, is coming to break up everything that she has ever fought for over her years of ruling in one fell swoop.  It's a conspiracy that shook the very foundation of the history of the region and the dilemma laid at the feet of one of the world's most powerful women means that she may have to kill her potentially real life son or break up the union she has fought to bring together as her life's work!  Luckily for us, we get to see her King son, Erik (Morten Hee Andersen) go full frontal with red bush on display in a tasty little bedroom scene in this period piece!
