American Gigolo (2022)

An updated version of the 1980 movie starring Richard Gere, this dramatic television series gives us a glimpse of the handsome himbo Julian Kaye we all know and love - complete with a sexy montage set to the movie’s hit anthem, Call Me by Blondie - before it jumps ahead to focus on what happens after Julian spends fifteen years getting hard - and getting us hard - in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. That it’s hunky-yet-kind-of-frightening Punisher actor Jon Bernthal as the titular character should’ve been the big tip off that this isn’t your mother’s American Gigolo. The brooding Bernthal (and his beautiful bare bottom) is still a wondrous sight to behold. We would call him any, any time!
