It's the era of Live Action Fairytales, and the next feature has released its first trailer: The Little Mermaid. There is, of course, a love story in this film (inspired by the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale and not the beloved Disney film) that we don't know much about - Andersen's original plot was basically the depressing version of the Disney film we know, and this one goes down in Mississippi, of all places - but we do know it stars William Moseley.
He's a reporter named Cam, the modern version of Prince Eric, who travels to a small town in Mississippi for a circus to meet who is believed to be a real mermaid. Long story short, they need to save her soul from someone trying to steal it so she can be free.
And by free, we mean back in the water, which means William will have be nude at some point (to get in the water), right?!?!
Anywho, I wasn't particularly jazzed to see this version until this very moment, so my hopes remain high.
