He made his acting debut in The $treet in 2000, followed by the requisite pop-up on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He hit up Gilmore Girls, Nip/Tuck, and Charmed before landing the role of Joshua Madden on the daytime soap opera All My Children, a part he played for 186 episodes between 2005-2009. Coming off of that, he did a stint as Auggie Kirkpatrick on the short-lived re-boot of Melrose Place in 2009-2010, then jumped to the recurring role of Tommy Rizzoli in Rizzoli & Isles from 2011-2016. In the meantime, he also grabbed the part of Evan Parks on the racy Lifetime series The Client List with Jennifer Love Hewitt. Appearing in 25 episodes from 2012-2013, you can find him half covered by a sheet on a massage table, everything above the waist glistening with perfection. On the big screen, he’s most well-known for playing Dex in Something Borrowed (2011), stuck halfway between Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson in the romance. You’ve also seen him as David in Must Love Dogs (2005) with Diane Lane, Reiner in Vice (2015) with Bruce Willis, an astronaut in Bad Moms (2016) with Mila Kunis, Sarah’s brother in The Space Between Us(2017) with Gary Oldman, and playing Detective Carter in Backtrace (2018) with Sylvester Stallone. While you can still spot Colin and his abs from time to time, these days he’s more focused on his real estate investment company, Stage 2 Properties, which renovates houses in Chicago.
