Just when you’ve thought you’d heard it all about Princess Diana, the intense drama Diana (2013) sheds a speculative light on the last two years of the princess’ life, giving her adoring public more gossip for thought. The biopic stars Naomi Watts as the beloved Princess of Wales as she embarks on a romantic love affair with heart surgeon Dr. Hasnat Khan (Naveen Andrews). She's just divorced Charles (who we don't see) and is two years from dying in a car crash when we first meet Watts' version of the British icon. Before there was an entire industry tracking the royals' every move, Diana gives an interview to Martin Bashir (Prasanna Puwanarajah) outlining how horribly she was treated by the family. Dr. Khan treats her better, but not well enough to keep her from railing the Egyptian billionaire Dodi Fayed (Cas Anvar) in an attempt to make him jealous. After trips around the world trying to keep kids from accidentally stepping on landmines, her social life becomes the fodder of all sorts of paparazzi, ending when she dies in a car crash fleeing from camera wielding journalists. Critics loathed this flick from German film director Oliver Hirschbiegel, who will likely forever be known for directing the "Hitler Reacts" meme movie originator Downfall (2004). Other than the atrocious decision to decorate an area really close to where Princess Di's car crashed with posters for the flick, the downfall of Diana was the lack of the D! While Naveen Andrews is dashing as the royal boy toy lookalike, he only teases us with a shirtless view of his beautiful body. It’s not much, but Naveen will make you royally flush! The Princess of Wales got with some very hot males if Diana is to be believed!
