Faraway Downs (2023)

If you liked superstar director Baz Luhrmann's 2008 historical epic Australia, then you are going to love Faraway Downs. This is a unique one! Luhrmann felt that he could improve upon the version of Australia released as a movie, so he added in some deleted scenes and toyed with the narrative, resulting in the six-part miniseries Faraway Downs. This time around the Indigenous people of Australia are more integral to the story, and the ending is completely different than the original Australia. Nicole Kidman plays a well-to-do woman who travels to a remote area of Australia to get a divorce from her husband. Instead, she meets the rugged outdoorsman Hugh Jackman, and the two form a passionate romantic relationship. Of course Jackman is looking as delicious as ever in his shirtless scenes here. Plus he's joined by David Gulpilil, who exposes his booty in his traditional Indigenous garb. Your hand won't be Faraway from your crotch!
