Out Magazine recently compiled a list of The 10 Gayest Movies Ever Made and the editors posited the Andy Warhol produced film Flesh(1968) at number six. Now were not too sure what Out means by a movie being gay, but Mr. Man is also a big fan of Flesh, so we thought wed use their top ten list as a springboard to focus on the film.

Paul Morrisseydirected Flesh, and it was the first film of his Trilogy, the other two being Trash(1970) andHeat(1972). The film stars the incredibly handsomeJoe Dallesandro as a hustler working the streets of New York City. It seems as though Joe knocked up his wifes girlfriend, and he chooses to become a hustler to earn the $200.00 to pay for an abortion. What a guy! With his boyish looks coupled with his manly body, Joe becomes quite popular, and he quickly finds himself crossing paths with a plethora of odd characters like an aging artist, a kid that wants to break into the hustling business, a go-go dancer, and a potential lover.

But Joe Dallesandro is able to transcend the inherent goofiness of the storyline of Trash, especially when he gets nude. Joe has an amazing body that many of us dream of in a man. Hes built like a statue of a Greek god.
