Stephen Gaghan, the Oscar winning writer of Traffic (2000) and Syriana (2005) returns with his second directorial effort Gold (2016)! Loosely based on a true story, the film stars Matthew McConaughey as Kenny Wells, a prospector in desperate need of some good luck. A tip comes his way that an uncharted part of the Indonesian jungle is home to a treasure trove of gold, and he jumps at the chance to mine the precious ore. He soon gets more than he bargained for when the money starts rolling in and the problems start piling up. Can he save his hide or will he ultimately be undone by his own greed?
