Horace and Pete (2016)

Louis C.K. took the world by surprise when he debuted the series Horace and Pete unannounced on his website in January of 2016. With the rare opportunity to develop a story free from the influence of network executives, Louis crafted what has ended up being one of the most critically acclaimed, thoughtful, and bitingly humorous shows of the 2010’s. Enlisting A-list actors from Alan Alda to Jessica Lange, Horace and Pete tells story of the daily going ons of a small Irish pub located in Brooklyn, NY. Horace (Louis) and Pete (Steve Buscemi), provide a nod to classic sitcoms of the 1970’s, but combine traditional devises with contemporary world anxieties. Horace is plagued by family members who hate him, while business partner Pete is a hot mess after going off his medications due to insurance issues. Speaking of mess, as producer and director, Louis takes the opportunity to show off his ginger dad bod in multiple scenes. Get gooey to Louis in season 1, episode 2 when he is shirtless between the sheets and later when he’s standing around in just a towel!
