Kidon (2013)

No Nudity

Review

Based on true events, the caper comedy Kidon (2013) begins on January 19th, 2010, when Mahmoud al Mabhouh, a high-ranking member of Hamas, is found dead in a hotel room in Dubai. As officials scramble to find the culprits who murdered Mahmoud, it’s only a matter of time before the police begin to accuse Israeli intelligence of the crime, even going as far as releasing security video footage of the assassinating agents, led by Daniel (Tomer Sisley), preparing and executing Mahmoud. As the murderous accusation becomes front-page news, no one is more shocked by the allegations than the Israeli intelligence community, where no one is familiar with these agents on the closed-circuit video, nor are they aware of any such mission to execute Mahmoud. As everyone tries to piece together the details of Mahmoud’s demise, the Israeli officials start to slowly piece together the mysterious puzzle that turns up international foul play that involves a laundry list of players, including French diplomats, Iranian and Russian spies, and French con men. While the plot of the film doesn’t really scream “comedy”, you won’t have to worry about laughing, especially when the suave, handsome and pants-less Tomer Sisley bares his butt during a post-poke moment with his gal. We’d love to interrogate Tomer!
