Last week Riverdale unveiled its musical episode, and the theater kid energy led to some homosexual experimentation! In the episode titled Wicked Little Town the gang decides to put on Hedwig and the Angry Inch for the school, but not without friction from administrators. The small town of Riverdale - know for shirtless teens, murder, and cults - is no place for a gay play! However Archie and the crew persist and end up putting on the best damn high school musical since High School Musical.
Casey Cott, who plays the openly gay character Kevin, steals the spotlight when he swaps man spit with K.J. Apa, who plays the openly straight character Archie. Casey is dressed as Hedwig - famously portrayed by John Cameron Mitchell - and this marks his first-ever smooch with Riverdale costar Apa. Although Casey has kissed plenty of men on the series and, and even Apa kissed Rob Raco in season three. Short story long: Riverdale continues to be lowkey one of the gayest shows on television for yet another week. Thank Gawd!
