Mr. Corman (2021)

Joseph Gordon-Levitt hasn't written and directed anything since his feature film writing and directing debut Don Jon (2013), which means there is a lot of excitement around his series created for Apple TV, Mr. Corman, which debuted in the summer of 2021! JGL stars as the titular fifth grade teacher who long ago gave up his dreams of becoming a rock star, but hasn't given up on his idealistic view of the world. It's getting harder and harder to maintain a positive attitude about life as it has grown more and more cynical over the course of his teaching career, but the younger generation he sees coming through his classroom year after year gives him hope for the future. As for his own future, he doesn't hold out a lot of hope that anything will change, but that doesn't stop him from trying to better himself and his life, though old habits certainly die hard. The hard partying ways of his youth are a constant threat waiting to rear their ugly head in his life again and he has to fight to keep those demons at bay. Let's just hope he doesn't fight it too hard, because those demons are the kind that we here at Mr. Man love indulging ourselves in! There were some sexy scenes in the series premiere, one where Joseph Gordon-Levitt beats his chest sunburn red after losing himself while drumming on his own chest, and in another scene he flings off his shirt to get busy with a lady, though he calls the whole thing off before they have sex! Some nudity on Mr. Corman would really get to our core, man!
