Multitalented Arkansas-born sensation Ne-Yo (real name Shaffer Chimere Smith) has dominated pop culture for decades and doesn't show any signs of slowing down, especially with his steamy role on the dance series Step Up: High Water. We've got a high watermark in our underwear thanks to his awesome nearly nude role in Step Up, but first we need to get to know the man behind the near nudity! Ne-Yo started out as a songwriter before catching the attention of none other than megaproducer and singer Jay-Z. Jay set Ne-Yo up with a recording contract, and in 2006 Ne-Yo topped the Billboard 200 with his smash hit Platinum selling album In My Own Words. Throughout the rest of the 2000s Ne-Yo continued to churn out hit after hit, garnering Grammy nomination after Grammy nomination. Ne-Yo transitioned to acting in the early 2010s, which gave us many opportunities to appreciate his gorgeous mug on the big and small screen.
