Our Kind of People (2021-2022)

Oak Bluffs, an exclusive community on Martha's Vineyard, is home to some of the wealthiest and most powerful black people in America, and it's also the setting for the series Our Kind of People, which debuted on Fox in the fall of 2021. The series follows Angela Vaughn (Yaya DaCosta), the founder and CEO of a beauty company that caters to black clients by offering them products that will enhance their natural beauty and not make them conform to the beauty standards of the white community. As a result of her company's success, she is afforded the opportunity to make her home in Oak Bluffs, but integrating herself into the community is going to be easier said than done. Many years prior, Angela's mother was at the center of a major controversy in town and no one who remembers the incident is willing to let the past be past, making it difficult for Angela to make a life for herself in Oak Bluffs. However, Angela is as undaunted in this endeavor as she was in the obstacles faced in starting up her company, meaning that the citizens of Oak Bluff had better stand back and get out of her way! While this is a network television show and you shouldn't go in expecting any nudity, there are some smoking hot guys showing off their shirtless physiques like the always amazing Morris Chestnut and up and coming hottie Lance Gross, who looks positively chiseled by the gods. Even without any nudity, we have to admit that Our Kind of People is our kind of television show!
