Biography

If you don't recognize the name, you definitely recognize the face...and the shades. Robert Romanus is an actor and musician who will forever be best known for his role as the smooth talking sleezebag that made all the high school girls moan, Mike Damone in the sliver-screen classic, Fast Times At Ridgemont High (1982). The brother of Michael from Mean Streets (1973), Richard Romanus, Robert first ventured to LA trying to make it as a singer. That didn't pan out, but while in La La Land Robert started acting, first in The Young and the Restless and Foxes (1980) and then in Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982). Whether he was scalping Earth Wind and Fire tickets or makin' it with his best friend's dream girl, there is no doubt that Robert's performance was a memorable one. His slim figure was very exciting while going for a swim, but what really got us going was seeing Romanus' Ro-manhood just before he bones Jennifer Jason Leigh. Recurring post Ridgemont projects included playing Marvin "Speed" Selejko on Days of Our Lives and Milton "Psycho" Horowitz on Fame. While Robert never hit the level of fame fellow Ridgemont High Wolves Sean Penn and Forest Whitaker, Robert did land guest spots on some of the most popular television shows of the time like St. Elsewhere and 21 Jump Street. He even had a stint as Natalies bad-to-the-bone boyfriend "Snake" Robinson on The Facts of Life. Look closely and you might spot him on stuff like Cougar Town and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation or in B movies like Terror Eyes (2021), and Sacred Grounds: Forbidden (2022). Still, he will always be the bare-chested, dimple-chinned high schooler who taught a generation that we should never forget the magnetism of Robin Zander or the charisma of Rick Nielsen.
