If there was a Mount Rushmore of Canadian comedians, you could argue that it would simply be all of the The Kids in the Hall (1988-Present), and yes, you read those years right!  The comedy troupe that started in Toronto in the mid 80s, is still around today and the are as hilarious as ever.  Scott Thompson, is one of the founding members of the quintet of hilarious absurdist comedians from north of the border and is best known as being the only openly gay member of the troupe too.  Originally from North Bay, Ontario, Scott spent most of his formative years in Brampton, a suburb of greater Toronto and after meeting Mark McKinney, he was introduced to the rest of "the kids" and started performing with them in 1984 and the rest is comedic history.  He was not a one trick pony either because he went on to do a three year run on another legendary series The Larry Sanders Show from 1995-1998, as well as Reno 911!, Hannibal, American Gods, and even voiced Grady on The Simpsons for years!  Known for his flamboyantly open and hilarious self confident characters, Scott originated Buddy Cole, and played The Queen of England, as well as over 100 different waiters on The Kids in the Hall, but he comes our way in the "Another Gay" series of films, where he plays the dad of the lead character.  Lucky for us, he's supportive of his son in the 2008 sequel Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild!, where he asks his son for clothing advice and whether or not his ass-less chaps and leather daddy getup are enough to get him laid on spring break!
