Seat in Shadow (2016)

Seat in Shadow (2016) is an imaginative dramedy from writer and director Henry Coombes (who also briefly stars in the movie as Petulia) about an elderly painter named Albert who also sometimes works as a therapist. The aging therapist and painter is asked to counsel a friend's grandson named Ben (Jonathan Leslie) who has been having problems with his boyfriend Adam (Lee Partridge). The therapist-painter works with the young man and it winds up revealing a lot about Albert's life as he learns more about this young man and tries to help him with his troubled romantic life. His romantic life is also gay, so that's a treat for all of us watching and waiting for sexy man-on-man scenes! Guess what? We get exactly that! The young patient in love and his lover are played by Jonathan Leslie and Lee Partridge. In one scene, we see them make out tenderly. This makeout turns to the two strapping young lads taking off their clothes. Oh, yippy! That's our favorite part. We don't get to see them get down to business, but we do get to enjoy the pair in a post-coital embrace. They caress one another and spoon each other, kissing and touching sensually. Now that's love and we love to see. Thank goodness Jonathan Leslie's ass is specifically out of the shadows. We hope neither of these hotties ever go back into the shadows for a seat and that they definitely don't put their clothes on.
