Soldier's Girl (2003)

The Showtime Original Film Soldier's Girl (2003) stars Jane Fonda's son Troy Garity as Barry, an Army soldier stationed in Kentucky near a popular nightclub where transgender performer Calpernia (Lee Pace) catches his eye. The two begin a love affair, though it's hampered by Barry's fellow soldier Justin (Shawn Hatosy) who attempts to rally all the other soldiers against this perceived transgression. As an early aughts attempt at bringing understanding and acceptance, it's not quite as progressive as it thinks it is, but there is plenty of eye candy from both Troy Garity, who is seen shirtless several times, and Lee Pace who strips down to his underwear on stage!
